This is me and my dad from the day of my wedding. I am having a tough time right now because they told my dad that he had cancer. It is a small amount and they said it was cureable. But nothing prepares you for the day your father, who in my case is one of my best friends, tells you he has the big C. I also have two uncles going through the same thing. I really hope everything turns out good for all three. I love my dad a lot. I am scared and only for the second time in my life felt vunerable. The first being my wedding. So if you are religous at all say a little prayer for my family. Thank you all for being friends.

Prayer already said. (And will be repeated regularly until there is good news.) Your family is wonderful and I only wish them the best. I hope you're doing better...considering. I'll see you tonight but please, know that anything that you and "Mrs. Golfer" need that I can help with I will. Take care, Joe! BTW, we find strength in our vulnerability because we learn what we can control and what we can't. All the rest we have to leave up to God. So the prayers, and good wishes for you and yours will continue from all of us who care about you.

Joe,
I'm all in with my prayers, and you know this. Got nothing but love for the entire Smith and Faye families.

Joe, I'm so sorry to hear your news but I am relieved that it seems they caught it early. While it doesn't soften the blow at all there are so many treatments (that while horrible to experience) are extremely effective. I know how hard it is to come to terms with the Big "C" (it is number one on my list of MOST HATED words....hey maybe that can be the next top 10?) as many people in my family have been affected by it. Please know that anything that I can possibly do to help out will be offered up readily. I really care alot about you and Mrs. Golfer and want you to know that just because I'm moving doesn't mean I don't want to keep in touch. Hey you might actually see me more often then you do now ;-) Take care and my prayers are with your family.
